Die VU ist eine vorwiegend internationale militärisch-polizeiliche Bruderschaft, die keine politische, rassistische, kommerzielle und/oder religiöse Ziele verfolgt.
Die VU ist eine organisierte Gemeinschaft von Gleichgesinnten, und als diese ist die Brüderlichkeit die Grundlage. Die kulturelle und sportliche ausgelegte Bruderschaft engagiert sich auch in humanitären Einsätzen weltweit. In Deutschland ist die VU seit 2013 aktiv. Die erste Vereinigung der VU gab es 1996 in Chicago/USA.
